Job Overview
Milwaukee County is searching for authentic individuals who want to make a difference in the community. As a Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, you will provide direct psychological care to individuals served by the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services. You will have the opportunity to engage in diagnostic interviews, psychological assessments, crisis intervention, recovery/treatment planning, individual and/or group psychotherapy, clinical documentation, team meetings, and clinical consultation.
Compensation
- Salary: $52,500
Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychological care, including diagnostic interviews, psychological assessments, crisis intervention, recovery/treatment planning, individual and/or group psychotherapy, clinical documentation, team meetings, and clinical consultation.
- Collaborate with licensed Clinical Psychologists to ensure high-quality care.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment.
Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Completed all professional doctoral degree requirements in clinical or counseling psychology from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- Possession or anticipated possession of a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of psychological theory and the application of clinical psychology principles and techniques.
- Training and supervision in group and individual psychotherapy and diagnostic assessment.
- Leadership ability and effective communication skills.
