Responsibilities

• Facilitate interdepartmental relationships to achieve both corporate and Procurement objectives
• Develop request for proposal (RFP) and quote (RFQ) documents in conjunction with business department requirements for obtaining indirect goods and services
• Analyze and evaluate vendor quotes and proposals to determine the most desirable suppliers based on price, quality, experience, market stability, and capabilities
• Evaluate vendor performance in relation to established service level objectives
• Liaise with corporate departments including I.T., Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Executive Management on purchases as necessary
• Ensure the timely issuance of purchase orders from approved requisitions using Zycus Procure to Pay (P2P) system
• Manage vendor contracting process via Zycus contract review and lifecycle system tool
• Promote consistent compliance with Procurement policies/directives and provide educational feedback to business departments where appropriate
• Manage special projects as assigned
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics preferred

• Experience:

  • 2-3+ years of related purchasing experience
  • 2+ years automotive manufacturer or industry related experience preferred
  • Finance background helpful
  • Process improvement or project management experience preferred

• Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in addition to strong collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business principles, strategies, and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change
  • Ability to manage and lead meetings, presentations, and complex timelines.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Zycus or similar P2P application for sourcing, project and contract management
  • Ability to read and interpret contract terms and conditions
  • Basic negotiation skills preferred
