Responsibilities
- Attend NYSA training
- Develop concept(s) for the NYSA yearbook design and layout
- Produce the design & layout within the timeframe laid out
- Insert photos into layout and produce final for printing
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with team to ensure that yearbook related activities take place according to schedule, and any scheduling or other conflicts/issues are worked out in a timely manner
- Receive and integrate feedback
- Work with team to ensure accuracy of all elements of the yearbook (pictures are properly labeled and placed)
- Provide all files to IRC
Requirements
- Graphic Designer with at least two years’ experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexible, and able to solve problems
- Cultural competence and cross-cultural or overseas experience required
- Strong experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience working with diverse populations desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Consent to the yearbook as being the sole property of the IRC, not to be used by the graphic designer without IRC permission.
