Job Overview

The International Budget Partnership (IBP) is seeking a Development Intern to join our Development team. As part of this role, you will provide crucial support in meeting IBP's fundraising goals for institutional funders. This includes conducting prospect research, assisting with donor meetings, managing donor materials, and supporting donor cultivation and stewardship. This is a six-month internship with the possibility of an extension.

Compensation

  • Pay: $17/hour
  • Hours: 8-10 hours per week, with potential for additional hours depending on workload

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research and develop donor profiles for institutional funders
  • Maintain donor files and update prospect trackers
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and executing donor and prospect meetings
  • Support the Development team in its weekly tasks and operations
  • Edit and summarize materials from IBP country offices for donor materials
  • Assist in developing key proposal components
  • Draft sections of donor reports and proposals
  • Upload donor materials to online donor portals

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a relevant graduate degree program (e.g., international affairs, international development, economics)
  • 0-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Advanced writing skills, including grammar, proofreading, and editing
  • Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills
  • Interest in international affairs, international development, public finance, economics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
