Job Overview

The Healthcare Anchor Network is hiring for a remote, part-time internship to support the work of the organization. The internship will focus on public policy research, analysis, writing, advocacy, and communications. This is a paid position with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The intern will have the opportunity to participate in policy discussions, conference calls, and meetings with healthcare institutions from around the country.

Compensation

  • $25.00 hourly stipend

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy research, analysis, and writing on social determinants of health issues
  • Communicate with and coordinate HAN members regarding the Aligning to Advance Policy (AAP) initiative group
  • Participate in policy discussions, conference calls, and meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with government relations work
  • Support events associated with advancing policy ideas
  • Assist with HAN communications
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the AAP work and HAN team

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in community economic development, health equity, or social justice issues
  • Experience with public policy research and writing
  • Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in political science, public affairs, economics, public health, social sciences, or a related field
