Job Overview

This intern will be a vital member of ECU/LAV’s Political team, whose work focuses on supporting federal, state, and local races across the country.

Compensation

This is a paid position of $17/hour with a start date in September and a flexible end date. Interns can work up to 35 hours/week. ECU provides a monthly transportation stipend to all interns. ECU utilizes a flexible hybrid work-from-home and in-office policy. The deadline to apply is July 11, 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Political Department by tracking campaigns and political news.
  • Drafting memorandums and candidate biographies.
  • Monitoring ads and voting rules changes in our key races.
  • Assisting with research on target candidates districts/states and incumbents’ records.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Candidates with a basic understanding of how race, class, and other identity markers intersect with our work in advocacy and electoral campaigns will be prioritized.
