Job Overview

Learn2Code.Live is seeking enthusiastic and high-energy Robotics (LEGO) instructors to teach engaging coding classes for K-12 students. If you are passionate about teaching the must-have 21st-century skill to kids and have a coding background, read on!

Compensation

  • Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
  • Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Be punctual, reliable, organized, and efficient in running an effective class
  • Follow the provided curriculum and lesson plans, set student goals, and motivate them to provide an enjoyable learning experience
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback and support, and guide students to meet outcomes and objectives
  • Inspire and motivate students using various teaching methods
  • Collaborate with students, teachers, and parents to achieve course goals
  • Provide valuable feedback for curriculum development and instructional methods
  • Work independently and be self-motivated
  • Communicate effectively via email and phone

Requirements

  • Computer science student or recent graduate (GPA 3.0 or above)
  • Experience with Robotics (LEGO Spike Prime and Essential) and coding languages (Python, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java, C++, Scratch)
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills and comfort with technology
  • Ability to think on your feet and creatively engage students
  • Empathetic towards students and adaptable teaching approaches
  • Comfortable teaching elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Can work in a classroom environment
