Job Overview

The Advanced Track at AHRC NYC's Advance & Earn Program is preparing the Next Generation of Direct Support Professionals with high level, paid trainings. We are setting NYC Youth up to be incredible mentors and change makers in the field of disability services!

Compensation

  • Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • First-hand experience alongside expert mentors supporting people with disabilities in Residential, Day Habilitation, Community and Employment areas
  • Paid Internship ($15/hour for up to 250 hours) in one of the leading Non-Profit agencies in the field with Job Placement.

Requirements

Qualified Participants:

  • Are 18 to 24 years old
  • Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Live in any of the five boroughs of New York City
  • Are out of school and have no post-secondary degree
  • Are unemployed, or work less than 35 hours per week
  • Are legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Note: Our Career Readiness / High School Equivalency Track serves youth 16 to 24 without their High School Diplomas
