Support Refugee Social Services Team Intern
Job Location
Kansas City, Kansas
Job Overview
- Facilitate economic and community self-sufficiency for refugees in the Kansas City area
- Learn about new cultures, languages, and social service resources
- Contribute to the long-term success of refugees
- Available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during intake hours
Compensation
- Living Allowance

Responsibilities
- Intake, assessment, and referral of clients
- Meet with refugee clients during Walk-in Days to screen and discuss their visit
- Provide information and referrals for Walk-in Day
- Support case managers with tasks such as completing applications and preparing files
- Opportunity to be involved in needs assessments, family self-sufficiency plans, or specialty projects
- Assist clients with bill payments
- Assist with document verification before intake
