Immigration Paralegal Intern

Job Location

Clearwater, FL

Job Overview

Gain valuable experience as an Immigration Paralegal Intern while undergoing specialized immigration paralegal education training. This is a 4-6 month internship opportunity in our office.

Compensation

$12 - $16 per hour after successful completion of training

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Conduct follow-up calls as required
  • Prepare immigration applications
  • Draft Asylum and Waiver Briefs
  • Organize folders
  • Schedule/calendar case-related matters and track deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses
  • Support litigation-related work of assigned cases - in-house and in court
  • Provide leadership in firm marketing and outreach activities
  • Participate in management meetings as required
  • Perform any other activities mandated by company management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Highly motivated with the ability to operate well under pressure and minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Excellent written and oral skills
