This job post is for a Summer Junior Fellowship in Data Engineering at Havas Media. The Junior Fellowship program provides university students with a meaningful learning and development opportunity. As a Junior Fellow in the Data Engineering group, you will play a crucial role in developing data and analytics capabilities. Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand problems and deliver high-quality data solutions
- Gather requirements and understand data needs from Engineers, Product Managers, and Analysts
- Assist in architecting and implementing new data models and processes
- Build data visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI
- Contribute to the company's knowledge base through technical documentation and case studies
Requirements
- Strong record of academic and/or professional achievements
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Knowledge of SQL and ability to handle data transformation and wrangling
- Programming knowledge in Python or Java
- Strong quantitative and research skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of the online advertising ecosystem and performance metrics
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Data Studio
- Experience with data transformation systems (Airflow, dbt) and data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
