Job Overview

This College Career MAS Graduate position will support the Value in Dementia Care Initiative. Reporting to the Life Stages Manager, the student will be responsible for research and organized synthesis related to nursing scope of practice and dementia. This research will contribute to establishing a scope of practice and hosting the Value in Dementia Care summit. The intern will also assist with other time-sensitive projects and participate in cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity for telecommuting and a flexible work schedule.

Compensation

This is a project position funded through 2/29/2024. The total working hours are not to exceed 500 hours within this period.

Responsibilities

  • Review policy, program, and operational issues assigned by the unit executive or designee.
  • Research assigned issues, analyze potential solutions, and report recommendations to the manager.
  • Provide general support to the clinical team focused on dementia and healthy brain initiatives.
  • Follow project plans, coordinate tasks with agency staff, and prepare written updates and reports.
  • Maintain a project schedule and effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage project communications to reporting managers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must be a college or university student enrolled in a master's or doctorate program, scheduled to complete degree requirements within 18-24 months, or a recent graduate.
  • Focus of study should be in physical or health science, nursing, public health, or public policy.
  • Graduate-level coursework in nursing, public health, or policy is preferred.
