Job Overview
Join Meritage Homes, a top 10 builder committed to constructing energy-efficient homes and communities. As a Land Development intern, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of new community development, from pre-acquisition to project close-out. Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, customers, and municipalities to ensure the successful opening of new communities on time and within budget. This full-time internship opportunity will take place during the summer of 2024.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with internal business leaders to gain insights into the homebuilding industry, Meritage's business model, and an assigned functional area (construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.)
- Understand and embrace Meritage's core values and their impact on our operations
- Translate your classroom knowledge into practical application within the internship
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects alongside fellow interns and business leaders to address current business challenges
- Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership to contribute to our overall strategy
- Complete a paper focusing on your internship experience or another assigned topic
