Job Overview
Join Meritage Homes, a top 5 builder dedicated to constructing energy-efficient homes and communities. We are seeking future leaders for our internship program who can contribute to our growth and help solve our business challenges. As a Purchasing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in residential construction procurement, including budget analysis, vendor/contract negotiations, and strategic project involvement.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal business leaders to understand the homebuilding industry and Meritage's business model.
- Learn about a specific functional area, such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, or human resources.
- Apply classroom knowledge to practical situations during the internship.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with fellow interns and business leaders to address current challenges.
- Present business recommendations to senior leadership.
- Write a paper reflecting on your experience or another assigned topic.
