Job Overview

A Research & Analysis Consulting Intern at Elevance Health’s Public Policy Institute will be responsible for data analysis to support health services research studies in order to identify and solve pressing healthcare issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze large datasets, such as medical claims, clinical data, national survey data, and weather data, using R, SAS, or STATA.
  • Apply statistical techniques to large datasets to test hypotheses.
  • Work as part of a team to complete high-quality analyses, reports, peer-reviewed publications, presentations to clients and at scientific conferences, and other milestones.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, over at least 3 days.
  • Actively pursuing a degree at a doctoral or master’s level program at an accredited college/university.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements.
  • Proficiency with one or more statistical applications (SAS, Stata, R).
  • Experience with large datasets.
