Job Overview
Are you looking for an incredible career opportunity? Meritage Homes, a top 10 builder, is offering a Construction Internship for the summer of 2024. As an intern, you will learn about the new home construction process within assigned communities, working closely with internal business leaders. This hands-on experience will allow you to develop your skills, establish a network, and contribute to the growth of Meritage Homes.

Responsibilities
During your internship, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry and the Meritage business model
- Gain practical experience in an assigned functional area, such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, or human resources
- Participate in cross-functional projects with other interns and business leaders to tackle current business challenges
- Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership to drive our strategy
- Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
- Write a paper focusing on your experience or another assigned topic
Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college
- Have a desire to learn and grow in the homebuilding industry
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience working in a team environment on cross-team or functional projects
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
- Previous experience in a leadership capacity
- Proficiency in relevant college coursework/majors such as Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Operations, or Project Management
