Job Overview

As an Intern - Software Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software for existing or new products/applications. Your code will be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that support various industry segments and clients. You will utilize current programming languages and technologies to write code, perform testing and debugging, and create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Additionally, you may collaborate with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Through your career development, you will evolve into a visionary leader who can effectively communicate complex ideas to solve user and client problems.

    • Graduation Date: May 2024 - May 2025

Responsibilities

As an Intern - Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Angular to build effective, efficient, visually pleasing user interfaces
  • Assisting software architects in finding innovative solutions to challenging problems
  • Receiving comprehensive training
  • Managing time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively, with emphasis on contribution
  • Sharing opinions and ideas openly with team mates
  • Developing an understanding of work estimation fundamentals
  • Learning about Acxiom's core business and procedures through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Collaborating in a team environment
  • Creating well-formed code that adheres to Acxiom guidelines for security, readability, and maintainability
  • Following the code plan provided by more senior staff
  • Adhering to professional standards of conduct
  • Building relationships with Acxiom stakeholders and fostering their growth throughout your career

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • Student pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.25 (Junior/Senior preferred)
  • A foundational understanding of software languages
  • Proficiency in JavaScript

In addition to the requirements mentioned above, proficiency in the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Angular
  • NestJS
  • Node.js
  • Git/SVN
  • GPA above 3.5
