Job Overview
At Meritage Homes, we are dedicated to building energy-efficient homes and communities. Our internship program offers an immersive experience where you will gain a deep understanding of our business, establish a network, develop your skills, and have some fun along the way.
As a Purchasing Intern, you will learn how residential construction procures labor and materials to support our production environment. You will analyze product budgets, review costs, negotiate contracts, and contribute to cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders.

- Work closely with internal business leaders to gain industry knowledge and understand the Meritage business model
- Learn our core values and their impact on our operations
- Apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations during the internship
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects to address current business challenges
- Present practical business recommendations to senior leadership
- Write a paper focusing on your internship experience or another assigned topic
