Job Overview
Lumen’s internship program offers a 10-week opportunity for college students to gain professional experience in the field of Human Resources. As an intern, you will engage in active work projects, learning from and challenging the skills you've developed in the classroom. You will also have the chance to connect with our company culture through community outreach projects and engage with our employee resource groups. This internship will provide frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.

Responsibilities
- Partner and interface with employees at all levels
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Assist with planning of training events
- Provide best-in-class customer service
- Support analytics and reporting activities
- Contribute to basic instructional design
- Prepare and organize presentation materials
- Utilize advanced functions in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Communicate information verbally and written
- Conduct research and collect data for HR initiatives
- Network with internal and external contacts
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Anticipated graduation between December 2024 and May 2025
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a master's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- Reliable transportation to/from work daily
- Availability to work 30-40 hours per week during the specified 10-week timeframe (May 31 - August 9, 2024)
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong interest in HR leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Highly motivated, organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner with multitasking abilities
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Preferred GPA of 3.0
- Must have US work authorization, sponsorship not available for this position
