Full Stack Software Development Intern

Job Location

This hybrid internship may be based out of CA, GA, MA, NJ, TX, or CO. If relocation is required, relocation assistance may be available. In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

Job Overview

Verizon is seeking motivated interns to join their Full Stack Software Development team. As a Full Stack Software Development intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects that enhance your skills in areas such as 5G technology, AR/VR and Computer Vision, Application development, Back-end development, Development Tools & Languages, Enterprise development, Front-end development, Analytics, Mobile development, Service APIs, Web development, Operating Systems, and Software engineering. This internship is part of Verizon's award-winning Campus program, which offers meaningful work, networking opportunities, mentorship, and the chance to make a difference. Compensation

The compensation for this position will vary depending on location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process. For part-time roles, compensation will be adjusted to reflect hours worked.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program at Florida A&M University and attending the Florida A&M University 2023 Fall Career & Internship Expo on 9/20
  • Ability to participate in Verizon's hybrid 10-week internship from June 3, 2024 to August 9, 2024
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at Florida A&M University in majors such as Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields with a completion date between December 2024 and June 2026
  • Coursework or demonstrated experience in scripting and coding (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office
