Job Overview

As a Clinical Intern at Stryker, you will have the opportunity to impact the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge medical technology products. You will work cross-functionally with different departments to assist in clinical research programs and gain a broad understanding of the regulated clinical research landscape. This internship offers a fast-paced and growing industry setting where you can apply your classroom knowledge and develop your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with different departments including R&D Engineering, Project Management, Health Care Solutions, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to assist in clinical research programs and develop a broad understanding of the regulated clinical research landscape
  • Perform clinical intelligence activities to ensure a thorough understanding of available treatment options and clinical studies
  • Accompany Clinical Research Associate to monitor clinical data at clinical investigative sites
  • Prepare literature review summaries for comprehensive evaluation of current clinical outcomes in recent published trials
  • Shadow Clinical Research Associates at cross-functional team meetings to gain exposure to the collaborative development process associated with executing a clinical trial

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during the background check in the spring
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Proficient with basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
