Job Overview

This role involves monitoring our central dashboard for alerts and events regarding the health of our customers' IT environments. The ideal candidate should have a general understanding of system and network protocols, configurations, security threats, and operations. They must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently, communicate effectively, quickly address and resolve customer issues, and preferably have experience in Level I support.

Compensation

Salaries offered are determined based on various factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and location:

  • California Range: $20.00/hr - $39.00/hr
  • New York City/Valhalla Range: $20.00/hr - $36.00/hr
  • Washington Range: $20.00/hr - $39.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Receive and document in-bound customer requests.
  • Create and manage tickets for issue tracking and resolution.
  • Try to resolve issues using our extensive knowledgebase.
  • Monitor and alert customers of technical issues.
  • Escalate as necessary and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other required duties.

Requirements

Education

  • Must be currently enrolled and attending an accredited college with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Preferred: Enrollment in a Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science program.

Experience

  • Preferred: Basic level experience with Microsoft operating systems and suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Preferred: Experience with help desk ticketing systems and service desk management tools.
  • Preferred: Exposure to help desk processes and procedures with experience in service desk management tools.
  • Preferred: Exposure to network services or operations with any experience in patching, upgrades, or network monitoring.
  • Preferred: Exposure to security processes and procedures with experience in security management tools.

Software

  • Required: Active Directory or networking experience.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Technologies experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical aptitude to learn new technology.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • High degree of ethics, professionalism, attentiveness, and communication excellence (both verbal and written).
