As a Data Analyst Intern, you will have the chance to work on meaningful projects, utilize cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to our financial inclusion products and programs. Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in consumer credit data to help make business decisions
- Design new analytical workflows and/or optimize existing workflows with the goal to automate report generation and enable self-service analytics
- Analyzing large datasets using Alteryx, SQL and Python
- Design and build innovative data and analytics solutions, visuals, metrics, and KPIs
- Summarize and present the results of analysis using Excel and data visualization tools
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field
- Be returning to school in the Fall of 2024 to complete degree program
- Expert knowledge of SQL and one of databases - SQL server, Vertica, MySQL, Aurora
- Experience or familiarity with BI tools like Tableau/Qlik/Power BI and MS Office tools is a plus
- Knowledge of data modeling, machine learning, and tools like Python, Spark, Hive is desirable
- Knowledge of consumer credit or financial industry preferred
- Strong communication skills, who can express complex concepts and ideas in a simple manner (written, presentation, and verbal)
- Strong analytical mindset. Able to synthesize complex data and produce impactful insights
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flare for working with large datasets
- Flexible and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and a fun team environment
