Job Overview

KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for our Financial Due Diligence practice within our Deal Advisory & Strategy. As an intern, you will provide financial due diligence assistance for buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements to Fortune 100 companies and private equity investors. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze financial data to identify key performance and operating trends. You will also assist in composing client-tailored transaction advisory reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal team members with financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements
• Analyze target company and/or client data to identify key financial performance and operating trends through financial statement analysis and data analytics
• Design and create client-tailored transaction advisory reports addressing stakeholder concerns, valuation models, synergies, contractual issues, and accounting and tax reporting implications
• Conduct various analyses, including operating trends, quality of earnings, financial position, net working capital, debt considerations, borrowing base calculations, and business combinations

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Bachelors of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, or equivalent program
• Completion of educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business prior to starting as an Associate in Deal Advisory
• Current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
• Flexible and adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work
• Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote within the U.S.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
