Job Overview

KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern for our Financial Due Diligence practice within our Deal Advisory & Strategy. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with providing financial due diligence assistance for buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements. This role involves analyzing target company and/or client data to identify key financial performance and operating trends, as well as assisting with the creation of client-tailored transaction advisory reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist internal team members with financial due diligence related to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements for Fortune 100 companies and private equity investors.
  • Conduct rigorous financial statement analysis and applied data analytics to identify key financial performance and operating trends.
  • Support the design, creation, and composition of client-tailored transaction advisory reports.
  • Address stakeholder concerns, valuation models, synergies, contractual issues, and accounting and tax reporting implications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Bachelors of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, or equivalent program.
  • Must be pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state where the office is located.
  • Current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office location and have reliable transportation.
  • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or remote within the U.S.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
