  • As a Process Development Intern, you will be part of the R&D team, working on creating new innovations and technologies within Unilever's brand portfolio.
  • Your role will involve assessing technical feasibility, developing prototype processes, scaling up promising prototypes, and transitioning projects from R&D to the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Assess technical feasibility of potential processes and identify process-related items such as capital requirements and safety considerations.
  • Develop prototype processes and products in collaboration with product developers.
  • Scale up promising prototypes to pilot scale and identify potential manufacturing issues.
  • Develop process specifications and operating procedures.
  • Participate in plant trials to validate pilot plant/R&D work.
  • Transition projects from R&D into the supply chain.
  • Investigate and propose process improvements for existing processes.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate with Junior status pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles for driving process improvement.
  • Ability to conduct experimental programs, generate high-quality data, and analyze and interpret the results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Effective teamwork and ability to contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
