Job Overview

As a Tax Intern at KPMG's Global Mobility Services practice, you will have the opportunity to provide support to tax professionals and collaborate with human resource professionals within multinational companies. Your responsibilities will include individual income tax compliance, payroll management, policy support, and analyzing data related to global mobility. This internship will provide valuable experience in tax and international business.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to KPMG's Global Mobility Services tax professionals, including individual income tax compliance, payroll, process, policy, and advisory services
• Collaborate with tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies to manage tax implications for global workforce
• Prepare client correspondence and calculations on international assignment matters
• Analyze and track expatriate payroll, compensation, and benefits
• Prepare reports, analyze data, and track global mobility tax compliance

Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Completion of additional academic credits before obtaining degree or CPA eligibility requirements
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Coursework or concentration in Tax, Accounting, International Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred
• Knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility, and tax
• Foreign language skills preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
• Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel as needed
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship preferred
