Job Overview

As a HEW Intern, you will consult with employers on a wide variety of complex health, equity, and wellbeing projects. Your responsibilities will include developing wellbeing strategies, conducting vendor evaluations, and assisting with survey design and evaluation. You will collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and create client deliverables drafts for review by senior colleagues.

Compensation

Compensation: $18 - $25/hr USD (hourly rate)

Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing health, wellbeing, and DEI strategies
  • Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts
  • Designing, distributing, and evaluating responses to surveys and RFPs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management, actuarial science, or any other major with significant quantitative coursework with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • For Actuarial students: Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
  • Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree between December 2024 through June 2026
