Health and Benefits Intern

Job Overview

  • Gain experience in the Health and Benefits field as an intern
  • Work alongside industry experts to develop your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to real client assignments and learn to analyze data and present results
  • Attend learning and networking sessions with colleagues and leaders in the industry
  • Actuarial track applicants eligible for comprehensive exam study program

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $23 - $27/hr
  • Overtime eligible

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and benchmarking
  • Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts
  • Evaluate responses to surveys and RFPs

Requirements

  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management, actuarial science, or any major with quantitative coursework (minimum overall GPA of 3.0)
  • Actuarial students preferred to have completed one or more actuarial exams
  • Previous work experience demonstrating technical and/or client service skills preferred
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to share solutions
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Accepting applications from candidates graduating between December 2024 and June 2026
