Health and Benefits Intern
Job Location
Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA
Job Overview
Join our Health and Benefits business to gain valuable experience and make a difference. As a Health and Benefits Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and develop into a future thought leader. You will be involved in real client assignments, utilizing your analytical skills and creativity. Additionally, you will participate in learning and networking sessions to expand your knowledge in the field. Actuarial track applicants will also receive comprehensive exam support.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $23 - $27/hr (eligible for overtime)
Responsibilities
- Support benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and benchmarking for clients
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts
- Evaluate responses to surveys and RFPs
Requirements
- Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management, actuarial science, or a related field with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Actuarial students: Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred
- Strong technical and/or client service skills demonstrated through work experience (analyst internship preferred)
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on exceeding client expectations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Graduation between December 2024 and June 2026
