Job Overview

As an analyst in our International Business Consulting team, you will play a crucial role in providing consulting advice and services to multinational companies regarding retirement, benefits, and compensation globally. You will work closely with our associates and consultants, assisting them in various client engagements. This position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop technical expertise, and contribute to the success of our clients.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 USD per year
• Annual short-term incentive bonus eligible

Responsibilities

Client

• Serve as the primary resource and liaise effectively with colleagues and clients for data collection, analysis, and project execution in various areas including:
  • Accounting for pension and benefit costs
  • Actuarial valuations
  • Retirement plan benefit calculations and statements
• Assist with analyses for special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, benefit plan strategy and design, plan management and governance strategy, and global financing and funding policies
• Support the development of new tools and approaches, including monitoring and analyzing economic conditions in major markets worldwide

People

• Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional and global teams
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels

Financial

• Meet chargeable hours targets
• Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by assisting with proposals

Requirements

• Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or any major with significant quantitative coursework (3.0+ GPA)
• Successful completion of one (1) actuarial exam preferred
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to ask the right questions and seek help when needed
• Timely and effective response to all communications
• Flexibility with proven problem-solving skills and client service orientation
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Sense of accountability and pride in work
• Self-starter with a willingness to step outside of comfort zone
• Ability to think beyond immediate tasks and understand the broader impact of work
• Strong analytical and integrative skills, including data analysis and trend identification
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Access and Excel
