Job Overview
Signet Jewelers, the world's largest retailer of diamond jewelry, is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to play a vital role in participating in audits and advisory projects. This position involves executing audits of Signet’s complex operations and evaluating the internal control environment.
Compensation
The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour.
Responsibilities
- Participate in audit planning activities, including gathering and interpreting data, and interviewing key stakeholders
- Assist in performing audit testing procedures to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
- Perform detailed tests of controls and evaluate data and reports for completeness and accuracy
- Report audit findings and document processes, controls, and identified deficiencies
- Develop awareness of internal audit standards and retail industry trends
- Follow Signet's internal audit methodology and develop basic skills in data analytics by the end of the internship
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
- Anticipated graduation range August 2024 - May 2025
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Previous business experience, auditing coursework, or internship desired but not required
