Job Overview

Experian’s Summer Internship Program offers students across the country a unique opportunity to gain hands-on work experience in our innovative global company. As an Information Security Engineering Intern, you will work alongside Experian employees, supporting the team in managing and maintaining security infrastructure and platforms. Additionally, you will assist in cybersecurity project execution, documentation management, research and analysis, documentation quality assurance, collaborative communication, and process improvement.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in managing and maintaining security infrastructure and platforms to ensure optimal performance and adherence to technical security baselines and best practices.
  • Assist in cybersecurity project execution: Work closely with the cybersecurity team to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of various projects related to cybersecurity initiatives. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed within established timelines and objectives.
  • Documentation management: Help maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, requirements, procedures, and other relevant documentation. Organize and maintain a comprehensive documentation repository, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval of information.
  • Research and analysis: Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices. Assist in analyzing and summarizing research findings to support decision-making and project planning.
  • Documentation quality assurance: Review and edit project documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborative communication: Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and project contributors to gather information, clarify requirements, and provide updates on project status. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and sharing insights and ideas.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the cybersecurity team, specifically related to documentation management and project execution. Propose innovative solutions and contribute to the continuous enhancement of cybersecurity processes and practices.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in cybersecurity, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree program in Information Security or a related degree.
  • Be returning to school in the Fall of 2024 to continue or complete degree program.
