Job Overview

Experian's Summer Internship Program offers college students across the country a unique opportunity to gain hands-on work experience in our innovative global company. As an Information Security Partner Intern, you will work with business units in North America, providing guidance on new projects, assessing risks, and responding to queries. You will also have the chance to contribute to ongoing security assessments and support the issue management process. This internship will give you valuable skills in information security and a chance to be part of our #uniquelyexperian summer internship program.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. Base pay range and individual pay are determined by work location, skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and disability insurance, generous paid time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an adjunct resource to business units, offering guidance on new projects, risks, and requests.
  • Support ongoing and new project security assessments.
  • Provide guidance on policy, coordinate with other IT or InfoSec teams, and respond to ad-hoc queries.
  • Review tickets related to specific BU requests requiring information security risk management input.
  • Support the issue management review and approval process.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in Information Security or a related field.
  • Returning to school in the Fall of 2024 to continue or complete the degree program.
  • Ability to research, provide guidance, and propose solutions.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and ask questions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an interest in process efficiency and automation.
  • Collaborative mindset with good relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
