Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. 8+ years of experience.

a. Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

c. 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist
4. What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
a. Experience with specialty, infusion, or hospital pharmacy
b. Experience in a fast-paced/high volume pharmacy and/or mail order pharmacy
c. Knowledge of and experience working with injectable medications, infusion products, ambulatory pump utilization and functionality, and administration supplies
d. Experience with ScriptMed, Avaya, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office
e. Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in other states

a. This person would be expected to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure all work is completed daily
