DB Consulting Group, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to support a variety of training operations activities in support of Human Spaceflight endeavors at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The candidate will support a variety of training operations activities in support of Human Spaceflight endeavors. This includes training of flight controllers and other support personnel for future space mission objectives; testing of new operational capabilities; recording events experienced during training sessions; and responding to system failures impacting training activities. Training Operations supports different shift times as required, the candidate should be able to work odd shifts and some weekends on a periodic basis.

Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, technical, and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment that requires multi-tasking abilities, the ability to operate effectively under stress, and rapid learning abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required for this position

  • Must be able to apply technical knowledge and operations concepts to exercise effective decision making in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Candidate must be able to grasp and react to the priorities of a given situation.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with current NASA human spaceflight activities and proposed future vehicles.

  • Understanding of a variety of computer networks and systems.

  • This position requires multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new tasks and ideas.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major study in engineering, aerospace, mathematics, or computer science.

 

This position requires successful completion of a government background check to access government facilities and systems. Work cannot begin on the NASA program without a fully adjudicated security clearance. If you are not a U.S. Citizen or Green card holder, this check could take 12 to 18 months to complete.
