Cabinet Maker

Countryside Wood products, LLC is currently seeking applicants to fill positions at our Lake Elmo, MN shop location. We produce custom ordered residential and commercial wood products that meet the unique and complex architectural needs of our customers. Using specifications provided by our design department, while also being encouraged to provide project design input, you will use your skill and experience to create exceptional custom wood products for our clients. Job Description:

Countryside Wood Products classifies our cabinet maker positions using a level 1-3 system. Level 3 employees are considered entry level, while level 1 employees are advanced cabinet makers.


As a Cabinet Maker you will be expected to perform the job responsibilities listed for your position, while ensuring product quality and consistency for our clients. Using your relevant experience, you will construct projects as specified in drawings and job site blueprints, while assisting other Cabinet Makers. See job responsibilities listed below for examples of work performed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct and assemble cabinet components as specified in plans and blueprints.

  • Use proper joinery methods to maximize sturdiness and durability without compromising design or aesthetic.

  • Ensure materials and shop supplies are used efficiently.

  • Quality check cabinets and components for dimensional accuracy.

  • Install appropriate hardware and manage hardware inventory.

  • Maintain safe working environment by cleaning work and shop space.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Eagerness to learn, and a drive to improve and succeed.

  • Attention for detail.

  • Understanding and ability to implement basic math and measurement techniques.

  • Ability to stand for entire shift.

  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of woodworking experience.

  • Prior manufacturing experience.

  • Knowledge and proficiency of relevant tools including but not limited to: Time savers/finish sanders, shapers, table saws, miter saws, jointers/planers, edge banders, orbital and belt sanders, and nail guns.

  • Certificate of, or reference to, advanced woodwork training.
