About the role
The 2027 Commercial internship at Phillips 66 offers hands-on experience within our Supply and Trading, Business Development, and Optimization groups. You will work on projects that analyze energy markets and develop solutions for customer challenges. This role provides exposure to both recent graduates and experienced leaders to help you build industry knowledge and professional skills.
What you'll do
- Complete projects in Supply and Trading, Business Development, or Optimization.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and other assignment-specific software.
- Work with an assigned mentor for technical guidance and day-to-day support.
- Participate in coaching sessions with your manager.
- Attend orientation, training events, and weekly seminars.
- Present your project findings to senior business leaders and stakeholders at the end of the summer.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Current enrollment in a Master’s program in Economics, Finance, or an MBA is also accepted.
- Completion of at least 30 college credit hours.
- A graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas.
- The term takes place during the summer of 2027.
