An internship counts as open when we have seen it recently, usually on the employer's own careers site, and it hasn't been taken down. One the employer still lists after its application deadline is counted, and its card says when applications closed. It also needs a description. Our search uses the same rule.
Counts and shares come from those open internships and are updated throughout the day. Sponsorship counts only the postings that say whether they sponsor. We leave a figure out when too few postings are behind it.
