**TITLE:** Technology Intern
**FLSA STATUS:** Non-Exempt
**QUALIFICATIONS:** - Current high school student enrolled in the Academy of Information Technology - Ability to perform multiple tasks associated with technology upgrades and replacements - Strong interpersonal skills for effective verbal communication
**REPORTS TO:** Instructional Technology Support Administrator
**JOB GOAL:** To obtain work-based learning hours and experience to satisfy the academy internship requirement.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Assist technology technicians with daily activities to complete summer projects. These include but are not limited to:
- Replacing, upgrading, and troubleshooting all Computer labs
- Replacing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Chromebooks
- Replacing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Windows Laptops and Desktops
- Replacing, upgrading, and troubleshooting network equipment to include switches, wireless access points, wiring racks, and wiring
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues for all technology devices
- Replacing, troubleshooting, and maintaining VOIP telephones, including phone wire
- Replacing, troubleshooting, and maintaining paging systems and speaker systems
- Replacing, troubleshooting, and repairing Cleartouch boards
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** - Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of technology users - Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships, customer service, teamwork and professionalism - Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion - Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with staff
**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:** Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
