Eligibility

This internship is designed for currently enrolled and/or recently graduated (within 6 months) college students. A copy of your current college transcripts (official or unofficial) must be submitted to verify eligibility. Applications missing this requirement will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Key Accountabilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Legal office support work
  • Agenda meeting preparation
  • Legal research
  • Possible public interaction
  • Drafting legal documents under supervision
  • Assisting with case preparation
  • Reviewing files
  • Attending court proceedings
  • Organizing evidence

As an intern, you will be exposed to various aspects of administrative law environment from working with law enforcement, office duties and courtroom procedures. Most of the work is confidential.

Schedule and Compensation

This internship is expected to start on August 24, 2026, and continue through October 23, 2026. The work schedule is part-time (up to 30 hours per week) Monday-Thursday. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. We value our employees and are committed to providing flexibility in work schedules. This position qualifies for teleworking on a part-time basis as part of the State Telework Program.

Additional Requirements

The selected intern will be required to provide a letter of recommendation from a professional reference or academic advisor/professor before being hired.

Employment Details

Interns will be hired through Temporary Solutions, which operates as the State's temporary employment agency. As a temporary position there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position.
