About the Role
Holladay Properties is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team in Nashville, TN. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world accounting operations and is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. The intern will support day-to-day accounting functions while gaining practical experience in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with audits, compliance tasks, and special projects as needed
- Perform administrative support tasks related to the accounting department
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with Yardi or other ERP systems
- Prior internship or coursework involving accounting or bookkeeping
- Interest in public accounting, corporate accounting, or finance

Compensation
- Paid internship $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
- Work week, 25 hours per week maximum
