Accounting Intern (Tax, Audit, or Outsourcing)

Summary

We are actively seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our client growing firm. This role offers the flexibility of remote work (for specific divisions) and is ideal for individuals aiming to build their career within a professional environment. The internship begins as a part-time position (under 20 hours/week) with a flexible schedule. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, there is strong potential to transition to full-time, regular employment.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audit engagements, or outsourcing tasks as directed by Supervisors/Managers.
  • Identify potential issues during client engagements and communicate them effectively to the management team.
  • Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, and compile findings into actionable reports.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Working Hours, Working Style

Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Working Location

  • Tax Division: Remote work available from anywhere in the U.S. (Candidates in the Pacific Time time zone are preferred)
  • Audit or Outsourcing Divisions: Hybrid/Remote; Candidates must reside in Los Angeles or Orange County, CA.

Salary/Benefit

$19 ~ 20/hour Salary and benefits will be reviewed upon successful transition to full-time regular employment.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Candidates who have passed the full CPA exam are preferred; however, candidates who have passed one or more sections of the exam will be considered.

Skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Language

Bilingual in Japanese and English
