**Responsibilities:** - Receiving new and gifted books. - Recording when items were received - Tracking invoices - Applying barcodes, stamps, labels, and jackets - Searching electronic databases for titles - Assisting with book sales - Receiving and processing journals

Qualifications:

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and careful organization highly. desirable. Student assistants are provided on-the-job training in the use of the Koha library system. Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work with or without direct supervision.

**Physical Requirements:** - The requirements listed below include physical abilities required to complete essential duties. - Must be able to physically lift and carry boxes of books, approximately 35 lbs. - Ability to push and pull book carts. - Ability to carefully unpack and sort library materials, distinguish call numbers, and bend and reach books from shelves of differing heights.
