Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with hair treatments, styling, and color applications, including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care.
- Learn to operate salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Support front desk duties by greeting clients, managing appointments, and maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Gain experience in retail sales by upselling hair care products, retail math calculations, and recommending suitable solutions based on client needs.
- Participate in mentoring sessions to develop communication skills, technical proficiency in hair styling, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and hair threading.
- Assist with store management tasks such as inventory organization and product merchandising to enhance the client experience.
- Contribute to maintaining high sanitation standards during all services to ensure client safety and satisfaction.
Experience
- Passion for the beauty industry with a keen interest in learning hair styling, coloring, barbering, and nail care techniques.
- Previous exposure or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Basic understanding of salon operations including appointment booking, retail sales, and customer service principles.
- Willingness to develop expertise in specialized services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and hair threading.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
