Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting all aspects of store operations. This role oversees the day-to-day activities of retail associates, helps maintain operational excellence, and supports the achievement of business goals. The Assistant Manager serves as a knowledgeable brand ambassador, fosters a positive team culture, and exercises sound decision-making to ensure an outstanding guest experience. This position also assists with daily operational responsibilities as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of 2 to 10 employees.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to team members.
- Develop, implement, and track employee training plans.
- Ensure the department is adequately staffed and stocked with necessary supplies and resources.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices.
- Manage inventory levels for retail and rental products.
- Communicate operational updates, opportunities, and concerns to Store and Regional Managers.
- Assist with managing operational budgets and payroll processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, products, and services, and demonstrate expertise to guests and team members.
- Complete administrative and reporting responsibilities accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail, rental, or related customer service experience.
- Demonstrated passion for employee development, coaching, and team success.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and guest experiences.
- Experience with retail or rental point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
