Bar Staff, Holiday Experience (Seasonal)

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and guest-focused Bar Staff to join our team forMagical Winter Nights -a spectacular after-hours holiday event that transforms the Museum into a glowing celebration of light, sound and surprise.

This is a seasonal, temporary position running from mid-October through January 5th, 2027. This role will work 3-4 days/week. The weekly scheduled hours for this position are varied based on operational needs. You can generally expect to work 20-24 hours a week, but these hours may fluctuate. This position takes no tips.  Perfect for someone with a passion for events, customer service, and a touch of holiday magic!

Job Class:Part-Time Hiring Range: $23/hour. This position takes no tips. Work Schedule: 3-4 days/week. 20-24 hours/week. Direct Reports: 0

Essential Duties

• Festive Beverage Service: Mix, pour, garnish traditional cocktails, beer, wines and themed holiday specialty drinks or mocktails efficiently.
• Customer Service: Greet guests with holiday cheer, take orders and provide a warm welcoming experience that enhances the Magic Winter experience.
• Safety and compliance check: Follow liquor training, safety and standards to verify ids, legal age and monitor for intoxication.
• Maintain a clean, orderly bar, restock liquor as needed and keep everything orderly.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Must pass Responsible Vendor training and obtain ServSafe certification
• 6 months' experience working in a fast-paced bar
• Magical Winter Nights is an evening event. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required including December 24, December 31, and January 1.

• Aware of surroundings and can anticipate needs of guests
• Able to take initiative and engage with guests
