Key Responsibilities

Back-Office System Analysis

  • Assist in mapping end-to-end brokerage workflows (trade clearing, settlement, fund flows) and identify process optimization opportunities.
  • Document system integrations between core platforms (e.g., clearing engines, CRM, payment gateways) using flowcharts and user stories.
  • Support testing of back-office automation initiatives (e.g., corporate actions processing, account lifecycle management).

Project Coordination & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams (Finance, Operations) to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Track project progress in Jira/Redmine, including task prioritization, sprint planning, and risk log maintenance.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements (e.g., CRM 2.0).

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract and analyze transactional data via SQL to support reconciliation checks (e.g., trade vs. settlement records).
  • Create dashboards visualize key metrics (e.g., funding trends, position balances).
  • Maintain data dictionaries and business glossaries for back-office terminologies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Current undergraduate/master's student in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.

Core Competencies

  • Brokerage Systems Knowledge: Understanding of trade lifecycle, clearing/settlement workflows, and margin calculations.
  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency in SQL, Excel; exposure to visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) is a plus.
  • Project Execution: Experience with Jira/Redmine for task tracking; ability to draft process documentation.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with securities back-office platforms (e.g., Broadridge, ETNA, Actimize).
  • Coursework/projects in financial systems, data modeling, or fintech integrations.
