About the role

The Texas Democratic Party is looking for Campus Fellows to join the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign. You will work on the front lines to mobilize campus and youth voters across Texas during a critical period of the election cycle. This role focuses on building volunteer and voter contact infrastructure to drive turnout. You will gain hands-on experience with organizing practices used on federal campaigns.

What you'll do

  • Plan and lead weekly voter contact events on campus.
  • Recruit new volunteers by working with existing campus organizations and your personal network.
  • Act as a primary voice for the campaign on your campus to maintain a consistent presence.
  • Handle data entry to ensure all voter contact records are timely and accurate.
  • Report regular results on voter contact, with higher frequency as Election Day approaches.
  • Develop creative strategies to reach voters through in-person and digital tactics.

What you'll need

  • Enrollment at a Texas college or university for the Fall 2027 semester.
  • A commitment to the mission and goals of the Texas Democrats.
  • Strong task and time management skills.
  • Initiative as a self-starter.
  • A focus on mobilizing young voters.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Access to a personal phone and a laptop computer.
  • Comfort interacting with students and staff in-person.

Location & details

  • This is an on-site, part-time position requiring 15 hours per week.
  • The role runs from September 9, 2026, to November 3, 2026.
  • Compensation is $20 per hour.
  • Positions are available in Dallas, Austin, Amarillo, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Plano, McAllen, Houston, Brownsville, Laredo, Waco, Midland, Tyler, Denton, Arlington, College Station, Killeen, Beaumont, Round Rock, Harlingen, and Edinburg.
