About the role
Position: Campus Systems Engineer (Intern) Jump Trading Group is a research-driven trading technology firm seeking a Campus Systems Engineer Intern to join their Trading Infrastructure organization. This is a 10-week intensive internship where you will work directly with systems and network engineers managing, monitoring, and optimizing Jump's real-time trading environment and infrastructure at scale.
What You'll Do Monitor overall health and performance of the trading platform Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking infrastructure issues Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for proprietary low-latency trading applications across global data centers Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment Work with risk management and trading teams to coordinate changes and manage incidents Define and document operational processes and procedures What You Need Currently pursuing a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
Experience working with Linux/UNIX operating systems including advanced commands and shell scripts Practical working knowledge of Python Understanding of networking concepts such as routing, multicast, and Ethernet Rigorous, detail-oriented approach to operations and problem-solving Nice to Have Dev Ops-based software engineering skills Ability to operate and communicate clearly under pressure Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with a positive can-do attitude #J-18808-Ljbffr
